This is a cotton Christening gown from what I believe the Victorian times
The front has a beautiful embroidery with pin tucks, and a tiny gathered skirt from the yoke.
The neck and cuffs have matching embroidery and handmade lace.
The back has just the pin tucks and tiny mother of pearl buttons the button holes are beautifully hand sewn.
There are a couple of very tiny marks, which I have tried to show in the pictures.
This is a delicate dress which does have a couple of tiny spots where the fabric has split - these could be carefully darned or left as is. I would suggest this dress is either displayed as is, or placed on a doll and displayed.
Measurements:
19.5cm yoke
18cm sleeve length at longest part
skirt length from bottom of yoke 43cm.
Skirt width at bottom 150cm.
