This is a sheer cotton Christening gown from what I believe the Victorian times
The front has a beautiful embroidery and a tiny gathered skirt from the yoke.
The neck and cuffs have matching embroidery and handmade lace.
The back has lace and pin tucks with tiny mother of pearl buttons the button holes are beautifully hand sewn.
The bottom of the dress is made up of pin tucks, lace and a delicate ruffle.
This is a VERY delicate dress which does have a couple of tiny spots where the fabric has perished - these could be carefully darned (already done in one place) or left as is. I would strongly suggest this dress is either displayed as is, or placed on a doll and displayed.

22cm yoke
10cm sleeve length at longest part
skirt length from bottom of yoke 39cm.
Skirt width at bottom 138cm.
